Our original founder, Ted Scott has caddied on the PGATOUR for the last 24 years. At a young age he was introduced to competition and sports and has never looked back. He married Melanie in 2003 whose love for sport and competition equally matched Ted's. So when Ted began playing some pickleball in 2022, of course he loved it. But he noticed something. The paddles were boring, they had no character, no flare, no personality. As creative as Melanie is, he began talking about the fun of making paddles with creative artistic designs. The idea sat for months in the mind of Ted and Melanie. Then one day Ted mentioned the idea to a friend that was in manufacturing. She came back with a researched plan the next day on the possibilities. They contacted another friend who was in tech and scheduled their first meeting. That night Dominus was born. Through extensive research, Nick and Felicia Manuel have created high performance paddles using the best technology and materials available. Steve Schaaf, our chief technology officer, and his wife Brandy joined us as a founding partner. Melanie created our first design, a limited edition paddle to celebrate USA Teams. These paddles were given to the 2023 RyderCup Team as a gift in Italy. Our mission is to bring fun, artistic, fashionable, high quality paddles to the market while also highlighting different charities and instill a sense of giving and building community.
